Why this didn’t happen before the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 is still beyond me, but finally the Kingdom Hearts series is coming to Xbox One.
That means that you’ll soon be able to play through Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2 on an Xbox One console – along with all those weirdly titled and numbered games that nobody really cares about (or is that just me?).
At some point next year, the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue collections will be landing on Xbox, allowing players to experience the crazy story that led up to the events of Kingdom Hearts 3.
The games of most relevance are, of course, the two mainline games that are found in the 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX compilation. But here’s everything both games include:
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix
- Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
- Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories
- Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (remastered cinematics)
- Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
- Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix
- Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (remastered cinematics)
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prology
- Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD
- Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep – A fragmentary passage
- Kingdom Hearts Back Cover (movie)
Both games will be landing on Xbox One at some point in 2020. We don’t have a specific release date just yet, but we’ll have more news in the coming months.
