When the sport you’re making a game of has a star that loves video games and is a popular rapper, you’ve just got to capitalise on it, haven’t you?
That’s what Milestone has done for its trailer for the upcoming Monster Energy Supercross 3. Leaning on the talents of Adam Enticknap, also known as 7deucedeuce, “Be One of Us” combines the star’s rapping talents with the sensibilities of a game trailer, creating what is perhaps the first music video trailer. Or at least to our knowledge. It’s clever, musical and informative; what more could you want, really? Give it a watch below.
“The gaming features are so realistic and so sick that I knew I had to translate that authenticity,” said Adam, who stated that “Be One of Us” was the first thing that came to his mind when Milestone approached him about the project.
With the sport being all about about finding rhythm, with the best riders able to flow from one jump to another, a rap video is a perfect fit for Monster Energy Supercross 3. Those of you who are both eagle-eyed and into Supercross will also spot that the video features cameos from a range of YouTubers popular within the Supercross videogaming community.
With numerous upgrades over last year’s release, Monster Energy Supercross 3 hopes to excite fans when it launches for PS4, Xbox Onem Switch and PC on 4th February.
