The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is, of course, one of the most iconic characters from the Ghostbusters series, giving the guys plenty to deal with at the end of the first film.
From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, Ghostbusters: Afterlife continues the original series storyline and features several of the actors from the first two films reprising their characters, including Bill Murray, who is back as Dr. Peter Venkman. Murray said in a recent interview it was not easy returning to the role, but he is excited for the film.
“I think [Reitman] has really got something,” Murray said during a Q&A at the recent 36th Santa Barbara Film Festival. “It was hard. It was really hard. That’s why I think it’s going to be good. We were just in it for a little while, but it was physically painful. Wearing those packs is extremely uncomfortable. We had batteries the size of batteries. They now have batteries the size of earrings. It’s still a really heavy thing to wear, all the time.”
Ghostbusters: Afterlife, written by Gil Kenan and Jason Reitman, is due in theaters Nov. 11.
