As Miyamoto continued through the park, he walked through an underground area sprinkled with Bob-ombs, visited a cafe showing the mushroom-shaped character Toad cooking food, as well as stopped by Bowser’s Castle, which will include a Mario Kart-themed ride named Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge.
Visitors will be able to use a “Power-Up Band,” essentially a smart wristband, to interact with several features in the park such as punching question mark blocks and collecting coins.
Super Nintendo World is set to open Feb. 4, 2021. Miyamoto shared there are plans to open similar Super Nintendo World parks stateside in Hollywood, California and Orlando, Florida.
