Akela Cooper, who wrote James Wan’s forthcoming film Malignant as well as the upcoming The Nun 2, penned the script from a story by Wan, who produces via his Atomic Monster banner alongside Blumhouse’s Jason Blum. Housebound filmmaker Gerard Johnstone is directing.
Atomic Monster’s Michael Clear will executive produce with Judson Scott overseeing for the company. Blumhouse’s Ryan Turek will exec produce.
Williams rose to prominence on HBO’s Girls and last starred in the Netflix thriller The Perfection. She is represented by CAA, Untitled, R&CPMK and Frankfurt, Kurnit, Klein & Selz.
