Brennon joins the team in order to get himself as close to the threat as possible. He also rescued Jean Bradley from Eddie Shaw, who was transformed by Uriah into Demon Hand. He was later decieved by Dr. Nova and the Illusionist into thinking that Zalia was still alive. He was captured but set free by Andrew North, who for punishment for saving Brennon, was turned into the Black Centurion. Brennon also dueled a powerful alien called Star Slayer to prevent an alien invasion, but his actions put him at odds with Captain Mysterious, who believed that he should fight Star Slayer. He turned against Brennon and decided to assemble Zandrexyn by tricking the Rook and stealing the third piece of the sword from Jean Bradley. Brennon, Burning Fury, and Fist traveled to Europe to stop Mysterious from wreaking havoc on the world and joined forces with the Knights Templar led by Rook and other European heroes. Captain Mysterious's new powers made him too powerful, forcing Brennon and Time-Rider to travel back in time to the Kingdom of Zirelaw to retrieve a magical spell that would help them turn the tables against Captain Mysterious.

When she was convinced that Fury was innocent and Dr. Nova was the one to blame for her sister's death, she forgave him, but left the team. She was left as one of the three remaining members of the team after Fist was put in a coma. She tried to take leadership but was opposed by Brennon and Fury. Soon Fist returned and became leader.
