Summary
The Three Stooges are one of the greatest comedy teams in history featuring Moe, Larry, and Shemp then Curly took the place of the 3rd stooge only to be replaced by Shemp again, then Joe Besser, and then finally by Curly Joe. The Stooges' hallmark was extremely physical slapstick comedy punctuated by one-liners, within outrageous storylines.
In DC Comics
A Three Stooges film is used by Young Justice to encourage a early Mxyzptlk to become the silly present imp that bothers Superman in the present. This is done to restore the time line and save the world from destruction.
Cartoon Superheroes
The Three Stooges were portrayed as clumsy superheroes with robonic super powers in the 1970's cartoon the The Robonic Stooges.
