SenTor

Lord Oberon, king of the Fairfolk, ruler of the misty Isle of Avalon knew that the time of the Fairy's was coming to a close. He did not want the secrets of Avalon to fall into the evil hands of mortal man so he created a warrior constructed of plant-life and made in the image of himself. This "Fairy Golem" was then placed inside an enchanted suit of Mithril Armor which would bring it to life when the sanctity of Avalon was threatened.

As the years passed on the Sentry of Avalon remained dormant in his chamber buried beneath the conical hill where Oberon's castle rested. Soon the last of the fairies died and the waters surrounding the island receded. Avalon became one with Britain at last. The Tor in which Oberon's castle rested now jutted skyward creating a breathtaking view for those daring to climb it. One lone tower stood the tests of time inviting pilgrimages from monks, druids, and mortal travelers alike. The tower would become known as St. Michael's Tower to the visiting pilgrims.

One fateful day the sorcerer Ignis Fatuus made the pilgrimage to reflect upon his growing dislike of the Great Ones and their methods. The evil aura that radiated from his body awoke the slumbering Sentry of Avalon. However the Sentry found his chamber had been naturally sealed over the thousands of years that had passed. It took him weeks to dig his way out. By this time Ignis Fatuus was long gone (The sorcerer having since journeyed to America and met his demise at the hands of Captain Midnight and the Midnight Avenger Corps)

The aura had grown faint and the Sentry of Avalon had no idea where to start looking for this evil. So he stayed upon the Tor and waited until the next mortal dared climb the Tor. Then the Sentry of Avalon now calling himself the Sentry of the Tor demanded the pilgrim to take him to the evil one. Scared, with no idea what the plant warrior was going on about the pilgrim fled down the hill. The Sentry followed the man and beheaded him with his razor sharp axe.

This brought mortal authorities to investigate resulting in the Sentry of the Tor massacring them all. Building upon the Fairfolk's distrust of humans, the Sentry developed a hatred for all things mortal blaming them for the extinction of the fairies. Now the Sentry of the Tor or simply SenTor stalks the Earth searching for the evil that awoke him, all the while slaughtering any mortals that get in his way.
