ORIGINS:
In 1936 Albert Einstein invents time-travel and is chosen to lead the National Time-travel Foundation (NTF). The very next year the NTF chooses Army Air Corps Captain Cole Turner to pilot Einstein’s ferromagnetic time-vessel from its launch pad in the ocean between Bermuda and Florida an area later to become known as the Devil's Triangle. After months of pre-flight tests 1938 rolls around and Captain Cole Turner launches in the ferromagnetic time-vessel which explodes destroying the pylons supplying its power which then sink into the depths magnetizing the entire region causing what would be called the Bermuda Triangle phenomenon. Capt Cole Turner is presumed dead and NTF halts time-travel experimentation at behest of the Government.
Arriving in 3155 Capt Cole Turner finds grim future where mankind is enslaved by the T’Sari lizard race and their giant VOID robots. With the aid of celestial being named Myd Nie Tur he is given the means to return to the past and prevent that apocalyptic future from happening. He is then transported back to 2010 just weeks before the T’Sari Empire invades Earth. Donning a costume and a secret identity he becomes Captain Midnight and forms the very first incarnation of 'The Midnighters'. Utilizing their combined strengths the heroes are able to thwart the alien's plans and save the Earth. After the thwarted invasion the heroes decide to remain a team permanently.
