Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Stays with you Comment: I never watched this when it came out in the early 90's, but had heard about it. It was wonderfully done, Daniel Day-Lewis was mesmerizing, and I was struck at how it did not feel the least bit dated. I did not read the book, so can't compare, but for a movie, this had much "edge of your seat" action, romance (not overdone or oversexual), and beauty. And yes, DDL running through the woods makes for some rewinding and replaying! Customer Rating: Summary: Very entertaining Comment: I really liked this movie and watch it whenever it's on TV. This movie and a handful of others I never tire of. Daniel Day Lewis is such a good actor(a must see in "The Crucible"). The ambush , youngest sister on the cliff and burn at the stake are very intense scenes. I say watch it! Great scenery and action but soap opera story and sappy romance give this the feel of one of those 70/80s TV miniseries. I enjoy them all, but this is my favorite (even though I can't get over the production crew member in his red ball cap showing up in a shot when the British are leaving the fort after the surrender to the French).
