Editorial Reviews:

The saga of the Transformers' secret war on Earth - begun in Infiltration - continues with Phase Two: Escalation. With the monumental menaces of Megatron and Ore-13 looming, the Autobots could be forgiven for thinking things couldn't get much worse. But, as Optimus Prime musters his response to the mounting threat, the Machination strikes - with shocking and tragic consequences!

Summary: Transformers Done RIGHT
Comment: Everything about this volume strikes a chord of absolute perfection with the Transformers enthusiast. Fantastic art, gripping story and fresh takes on the characters we all loved as kids, this is the pinnacle of Transformers media.

Summary: IDW = Perfection
Comment: What can I say? I've always loved Transformers and finally there's a comic that lives up to the concept. While still being written by the same man who has been writing Transformers stories for just about as long as there are have been TF comics, Simon Furman, the IDW reboot gives a much needed chance to breath fresh air into a cluttered and stuffy story.

The modernized take, revised designs are all in service of the characters I've known and loved, yet they are presented in a fresh, detailed and intelligent manner. Truly this is THE TF comic for long-time fans.

Escalation is my favorite, so far, of the series, and I look forward to the future additions.

Summary: Things are Heating Up
Comment: Furman does his usual excellent job of crafting an exciting storyline, even on Earth in the modern day. As the continuation of the "Reboot" of the classic G1 characters, this collection really makes for a great read. Plus, there's some great Optimus/Megs one-on-one for old time slugfest fans.

Great book overall, well worth picking up.
