Editorial Reviews:

Being a hero isn't easy. As Peter Parker, I have to make time for school and work.#160;But it is up to me, as Spider-Man, to help people#160;in need. With great power comes great responsibility ...

Summary: fun to read
Comment: it's a suitable book for the age, doesn't use agressive language, has an interesting story. My son loves it and asks me to read it over and over again.

Summary: Violent content for 4-7 year olds (including a gun)
Comment: While some may be complacent with the powerful, familiar characters of spiderman, this book is 50% violent imagery that should offend young children and parents if we didn't live in such a calloused society. One page displays angry robbers at a bank, one pointing a life-like gun at another man. My kindergarten aged son checked this book out of his school library and brought this image to my attention as it concerned him. Parents be aware and discuss the inappropriate nature of then need to glorify violence in books for such young children!
