This is perhaps my favorite chapter in all 3 seasons, I loved writing this one. The picture in this chapter was the last one I recieved from Gerry before he stopped responding to my e-mail. (Although I did get my butt handed to me in it...) hopefully it's worth it.

Chapter 35; Return

Dust flies everywhere as the rest of the building collapses, Jimmy and the helicopter pick up Stand and Oxi. Then they fly a few more feet and grab Wraith who took the fall hard. The copter flies up as the group stares down at the debris, Drake jumps on top of a pole sticking out of the ground. He turns to the copter and noticing Ohm isn't there, he turns to the debris and begins to laugh. His laugh dies as he notices something is wrong, the ground begins to shake lightly at first. Then violently, as Drake is almost thrown off the pole. A huge beam of golden energy blasts Drake off to the side from the bottom of the debris. It thins out leaving Lectrohm in full uniform floating in mid-air, holding the orb between his hands, with his eyes closed. Energy from the orb can be seen leaking out into Ohm, the orb empties and disappears. Drake knocks a support beam off him and looks up.
Drake: Ohm! (Floating down to him.) How did you survive?!
Ohm: (Looking up, then smirking) Trade secret.
Infuriated, Drake rushes Ohm knocking him back into the rubble, shots can be heard and felt as blows are exchanged between the two superpowers beneath the mess. Drake flies out fried my Ohm's electrical beam. He whips around and his arms once again form into spiked tentacles. He launches them at Ohm who dodges and flips over them in mid-air while launching numerous blasts of energy at Drake, who dodges all but one right to the chest. Knocked back, he whips again at Ohm who catches the tentacle under his arm. Ohm smirks and Drake's eyes widen as Ohm electrocutes him; in retaliation, Drake's tentacle expands knocking Ohm off him. He charges a beam and fires at Drake who, whipping back the tentacles, blasts back with a beam of dark matter; the two beams collide in a huge display of contrasting lightning and thunder. After a couple seconds of collision, the beams explode canceling each other out. Drake flips back down as Ohm glides to the ground.
Drake: Kudos Ohm, I never thought you'd make it.
Ohm: Thanks... I think.
Drake: (Looking at the Sun rising) Well I guess it's time for me to skedaddle--
Ohm: You're not going anywhere.
Ohm enters hyper speed and launches himself right at Drake. Drake swings at Ohm with a direct hit knocking him into a building below. 'This isn't a dream anymore Mike.' Ohm thinks to himself as he flies out of the debris back at Drake. Ohm throws one punch, Drake checks it and counter attacks, Ohm checks Drake's counter attack and kicks, Drake flips over his leg and tries to strike Ohm in the back of the head. Just before he makes contact, Ohm disappears to dodge the punch and reappears behind Drake and throwing his own, Drake copies Ohm and counters. The two, duke it out like such in a furry of martial arts at hyper speed. The group looks on from the helicopter all they can see is blackish yellowish blur going back and forth. Drake fakes a punch as his hand expands into a thick tentacle knocking Ohm out of hyper speed and into the air duct. Drake looks over his shoulder at the sun then back at Ohm, 'Just two more little things.' He says under his breath as he dives into the shadow vanishing from the scene. Ohm bursts out of the duct looking around for Drake, as the copter settles down on to the roof.
Ohm: Where'd Drake go?
Wraith: Does it matter? He fled, good to see you among the living.
Ohm: (Laughing) Man, I thought you were dead. (Runs and hugs him)
Wraith: Uh... you can let go now... bad for the image.
Ohm: Oh... right. (Stan, Will, and Jimmy walk up.) Hey! How long have I been out?
Oxi: About a 24 hours, would've been gone if you didn't get charged when you did.
Stan: Wraith, what was Drake doing in San Francisco anyway?
Wraith: Well I saw on the news that another government facility out here was recently compromised and that the thief was quote, "As black as night". Now other than me, I don't really know who else it could've been so I added light energy to my arsenal. Luckily, my assumption was right.
Oxi: Do you know what he stole?
Wraith: That's the weird part. He didn't take anything of value from the facility, all experiments, and robotics that it held were still there and intact.
Ohm: We need to go back and check. There must have been something that you missed, something probably unnoticeable.
Jimmy: Wraith, might I suggest going back to your place and comparing notes?
Ohm: Good idea, but Will, Stan? I need you two to head back to New York and hold down the home front if Drake returns. See if Pyra is off her vacation yet, she'll be able to help.
Oxi: How do you know Pyra is on vacation?
Ohm: Uh... heh. Let's--talk about that later. We need to focus on the task at hand.
The group agrees on the plan and they head back into the copter. Minutes later, they arrive at the airport, Oxi hands Ohm a piece of paper and him and Stan say good-bye and good luck to Ohm and Wraith as they head on to the plane. Ohm watches them take off and fly away safely, he then turns to Wraith and Jimmy. Ohm reads the piece of paper containing the information about Drake's past. 'Alright,' he says confidently, 'let’s get to work'. The three head off to Wraith's place at the north end of San Francisco. Meanwhile, miles away at a Government facility in San Francisco, a blonde haired man walks in saying high to the security guard. He walks down the hallway where they're doing repairs to the recent break in. One of the guards salutes him and steps out of the way. Making a right, he opens the door and walks into the Satellite room.
Scientist: Ok, (He sighs) let's get started... what the... huh? That's--weird, where are my access keys?
