yeah, fights are often screwed up and rarely perfected. writers face the problem of staying true to each character. for instance, i love joss whedon for his series "firefly" but in a recent issue of runaways (currently written by whedon) he totally insults the punisher character and acts as if he'd never read a punisher book before. punisher is made out as an egotistical bonehead who gets slugged by a superpowered little girl. punisher's not stupid and he's never unprepared for a fight, it was insulting to the punisher name and should be dishoned from marvel comics.
problem is, most people that read runaways don't like normal comcis and probably got a hoot out of it, they've probably never read a punisher comic either. only reason i read runaways is that somehow i got subscribed, and they keep sending it so whatever.
oh, and after i read civil war #7 i agree completely with you about frank's respect for cap. it was cap in the 40s that punisher grew to respect so much. __________________"You...complete me."
