this elektra yarn was written by Brian Michael Bendis, one of my favorite writers.  possibly my favorite, but this book wouldn't help that cause.  i'm not much a fan of elektra's i prefer daredevil but this arch was at the library so i read it.  awesome covers painted by greg horn, however, the interior art was lame.  everyone's poses looked unatural.  it looked a lot like tim's early poser work (no offense, it's improved) with plain poses and everyone staning straight up.  like chuck austen just couldn't do most poses, and the action looked pretty plain jane.  the coloring only worsened this computerized, bland style, and i think the art was the major reason i didn't like it, but now i'll never know.  it's story wasn't too intriguing, and bendis, the king of dialogue as he is often reffered, may have overkilled with it a little this time, but i can't be sure because the art seemed so un supportive.  his writing just needs the best of art, because it was like someone's voice being dubbed in an older movie, it just didn't seem to fit the writing. i think austen would be better off sticking to sci fi books wih lots of robots, and maybe he could exaggerate things a little then too, i think that would fit his art better.  however, nick fury and elektra's hard head characters were portrayed well, and being an elektra book, she got the best of him, i'm sure it would be the opposite in a fury title.  it also had a good initial quote on the interior of the front cover, "The Way of the Samurai is found in death."--book of the samurai
lektra, having died once made this quite the opening sentence.  and again, greg horn's cover's were awesome.
5 out of 10 for the few out standing positives.  but i feel the art killed the book, along with my disinterest in the character and a bland storyline with the exception of a side plot that turned out to be wuite interesting.  guess i just forgot about that positive.  but mainly the art killed it.

francis yu is definitely one of my favorite artists out there since his run on new avengers.  i hope he stays on longer than some of the other awesome artists that have worked on new avengers.  it has to be the best drawn (and probably written) book on the stands.  i mean its had cho, finch, mcniven, and now yu drawing it!  and that's not even counting the one-issue guys like maleev and...some other guys whose names I don't know.

you must not know Elektra...

Elecktra his a highly skilled assassin whose prefered motive of killing is ninjitsu, a Japanese art, Other arts she has used include Kenpo, Ju-Jitsu, and fake arts used as Technobabble in the comics.

Wikipedia is awesome and say what you will but the sources are always correct.

nah, if you didn't notice, there's and edit button below the sections on every page.  I've gone on there before and put under the definition of a Banana that it was a type of seed.  They banned my old account but for a time it was a seed.  It's the reason Schools banned wikipedia for research papers.
