A LET DOWN.
I only read the 1 issue and not the events that led up to it, but i didnt like it. With all the hype thjere's been over the years about it, it didnt seem up to snuff.  Ofcourse I did know what was gonna happen, but the writing overall seemed like the type where the hero narrates everyhting he does.  For instance, I'll use my bat belt to climb up this wall.  The art was also very normal.  Maybe I'm just spoiled with McNiven's detail,  Or Frank Miller's exagerration, it was the type of art you see in normal comic books.  Also they barelt fought, it was mostly just bystanders watching and stalling, and I didn't even notice that it was the final punch for both, he died and I looked back because I thought I'd missed the final blows.  However, it is quite the collectible.[smirk]
But I didn't feel Supes pain.  I got bored.
7 out of 10 (I couldn't bring myself to give Superman's death lower than a C)

Interesting you should bring that up, DC is going to release a Superman animated movie featuring Doomsday and I think it's going to center around the Death of Superman.
