Discuss the DC Comics new series that tells what was going on while the DC Comics heroes were away for one year. Discuss the 52 article.

Read the article Find out about it's main character who hasn't been seen since 1968.

dc sucks marvel rules

althuogh i still like some dc like superman and batman

But what do you think about the article, and the idea of bringing back a character from 1968 that's so obscure as Nova?
Posted:  30 Apr 2006 20:21
dude, i saw an article on that in the new wizard mag, buitdidnt checkitout.  i was wonderin y all dxc comics had "1 year printed on them"
but thats were i like marvel.  it seems a little more down to earth.  not somany universal issues, and in parker's case, sumtimes only his issues.
that is, with the exception of silver surfer, secret wars, and some ff issues.
oh nevermind, i just proved myself wrong.  but it does have mutants instead of aliens.

wizard is crazy about the blue beetle, max lord thing. anyone fread that? apparently, wonderwoman had to tie him up with the rope where he said his plans were only to be stopped if he died.  she killed him.  batsy, and supes are pissed, but isay thats another place were marvel's more realistic than dc.  there's noway that supes or bats wouldnt have accidentaly killed someone. and it was that or the world dies. do you agree, or disagree with ww?
max lord was named villain of the year by wizard.

Yeah DC has skipped a year for some reason of which I'm not completely sure about yet. I guess it will make better sense once I've read the last Infinite Crisis book or maybe the first issue of 52.

I wish I had enough money to buy every Marvel and DC book to keep up with all this stuff. I hate inflation and high gas prices! I used to do better on keeping track of the stories when I was a kid bumming money off my mom to buy comics, but back then they only cost 50 cents a piece.

yeah, i wish i could have two months and get any comic i wanted, and my job was to read and review em'.  hey, i should start workin fer wizard.  or maybe just subscribe to them. 28 buck a year and you get a monthly update on whats ben happenin, ofcourse it also makes you wanna buy the comics in it, so it's a lose lose situation.[smirk]

I just got my first issue of Wizard magazine subscription. I got a few comic book subscriptions coming but it's no where near enough to keep up with the big storylines this summer.

problem is all of the cross title and mini series events they're doing. thwey should have a thing you subscribe to that gets you all the big new mini series.

"No sweat! I'll contact Green Lantern and have him erase that knowledge from their minds with his power ring!"

Batman, you hypocritical dipstick... Sure, it's okay for GL to mindwipe someone else, but when Zatanna mindwipes you, it's a different story, huh?
