Director James McTeigue has said that the next Superman movie is in "a weird place". McTeigue is rumoured to be attached to a forthcoming follow-up to 2006's Superman Returns from Warner Bros. "It's in a weird place at the moment," the V For Vendetta director told MTV News. "They're trying to work out what they're doing. Warner Bros is trying to figure out their next move on it. "There's some things you can do with the Superman franchise, there's other things you can't do. So it hasn't gone anywhere." The Superman property is the subject of ongoing legal wrangling between DC Comics/Warner and the heirs of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster – the creators of the Man of Steel. I want another Superman movie bad. Worse than another Spider-man just because Superman Returns has been the only one to come along for Superman in decades and it didn't do what I felt it should have. The airplane scene was the best scene in the movie and it was like in the middle. When you think of what they do with effects on Smallville everyweek these days and what they accomplished way back in the 70's with Superman the Movie you just expect a whole heck of a lot from a new movie. But whatever they do they need to just jump in there and do it. Practice makes perfect after all. Just waiting around isn't going to equal a super movie. __________________ Read Time-Rider
