I would of thought a place the size of Knoxville be able to support a comic book store. Last time I was there about 10 years ago I remember passing one but I can't remember what it was called.I remember it been painted black. I know it wasn't in old town.

There's another one, I stopped by there, but all they have is new comics which I do read new comics but they cost so much these days. Like 4 bucks for one. I could get a handful of older comics at Triad for that. At least I used to be able to.

I hate it when I find a comic shop closed. It makes me extremely sad

As far as the flea market I love finding those guys but my wife hardly ever gives in either. I did find a guy selling marvel tpb for $5 each and was able to buy 4 of the civil war titles about a year and a half ago.

I got some X-men from the 70's once at a flea market for under a buck. I'm thinking 50 cents or less a piece. Got like a couple of the Phoenix Saga and earlier issues. That was a few years back though.

Actually Triad has been closed for about two years now. Did you try Collector's Universe in Farragut?

Nah, dude they moved the first time.
The site is still up so far and it's got pics and junk of the place they moved to. http://triadcomics.com/new/default.htm

Say, Torpedocomics.com looks like it will come in handy. Thanks for the link Bono!

yeah, just closed in October apparently. I was there just a few weeks ago. I wish somebody would have mentioned it while I was there. I would have came back sooner to buy some more books.

So where have you been getting your books, was it at Collectors Universe? I guess that's the only comic shop left around here.

Yeah pretty much ..well.. that and Books a Million. But all they have is current issues. So if I need back issues I either go to  Collectors Universe or a con if one's in town.

I'm not sure yet. I might just see if I can afford to get subscriptions to a few titles like Hulk, Captain America, and Superman. I'd like Spider-man but I guess he's still coming out with a book every week. Can't afford that.

Or I might just save up till the next con and go crazy shopping then.

You are missing out on some great stuff in Spider-Man.

Maybe I'll find like a whole years' worth of Spider-man in a 50 cent box someday.
