Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (previously known as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion) will be the sequel to the 2006 action role-playing video game Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. The game is being jointly developed by Vicarious Visions (Playstation 3 and Xbox 360), n-Space (DS, Playstation 2, and Wii) and Savage Entertainment (PSP), and will be published by Activision. The game features characters from the Marvel Comics universe and will feature elements of the Secret War and Civil War storylines.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 follows the same gameplay as its predecessor. The game allows players to choose four characters to play through the game. Players have the ability to level up characters and earn new abilities and powers. Vicarious Visions have made changes in the game and camera controls for greater fluidity during gameplay. The power combo system has been improved as two combined powers will yield a new attack, known as a "fusion".
A trailer released at E3 shows a military operation originating in Latveria, home of master villain Doctor Doom. "The story starts with Secret War. We're using Nick Fury's invasion of Latveria as a jumping off point. The rest of the story is derived from the consequences of those actions," states Dan Tanguay, creative director for Vicarious Visions.
The game will then follow the Civil War story arc: a fight between heroes and villains causes an explosion in Stamford, Connecticut. Killing 612 civilians (including a number of school children), the government labels this "Super Powered Negligence", and the public demand a Superhuman Registration Act. The government passes the act, and all meta-humans are forced to adhere to or disobey the law. In the game, players are able to choose between the Pro-Registration side headed by Iron Man and Mister Fantastic with Songbird following them, or the Anti-Registration side, lead by Captain America and Luke Cage with Iron Fist working with them. These heroes are locked into their specific side, but the other characters are playable on either side of the conflict. Multiple endings are available, and are determined by the side chosen at the beginning of the game. Tanguay stated that the story will follow into the aftermath of the Civil War.
Characters
The game will include format-specific characters, and the developers plan to release additional characters as downloadable content. In addition, each character will have one alternate costume that can be unlocked during the course of the game.Stan Lee, co-creator of Marvel Comics, and creator of many of the characters, will have an in-game cameo. This marks the first time Stan will cameo as himself in a video game. __________________
This game looks like a mad phat cool gig! I can't hardly wait to get my hands on this piece of merchandise. I was such a fan of MUA it seems like I've been waiting forever for this sequel and it's nearly here needless to say I'm excited. __________________

not sure yet, most likely Wii but maybe PS3 if I get one here within the next few days. (I'm a bit of a gamer) think it's going to dpends on the bonuses __________________

my grandparents have a 360 (sports games, gramps loves sports) and I wouldn't be playing it as much. i have a wii and dad is tempted to forget the dvd playes he has and get a PS3 so we'll have to see __________________
