Marvel "didn't honor my contract," says the actor, who was replaced in the sequel by Don Cheadle

"Marvel made a choice, and it was a very, very bad choice," the actor -- whose role was given to Don Cheadle -- tells Parade.com. "They didn't keep their word. They didn't honor my contract."

"I've seen the script, I know what's going to happen -- but I'm not revealing anything. I believe in karma," he says. "When someone does something wrong, you don't have to get them back. Everything right will return the favor for you."

It's all politics I tells ya!

I don't know any of the details other than what was on the link but if there's a contract it should be honored. I hate how companies just break contracts alot. You'd think there'd be legal recourse if that's the case?

At least Terrence Howard isn't holding too much of a grudge and is being honorable about not leaking the storyline and is still willing to go see the movie and hopes Cheadle does well in the role.

I don't know the details of the contract, but like you say if they said they would pay him x amount and bring him back if there was a sequel they should do it. Not very honest to promise something and not go through with it.

actually, i don't think politics have anything to do with this, just lousy people greedy for money.

my guess on the contract was that it could have been iterpreted one way and the companies took it another.

too bad for howard, he looks more like the character then Cheadle and his acting was great in the first film.  I think he's doing the writing thing expressing his dissapointment, but not spoiling anything and believe in karma.  too bad karma doesn't always work.

Contracts always seem vague. Just ask Stan Lee, how many law suits and counter lawsuits has he had to deal with. But in fairness sometimes the actors management/agents can push for too much. Maybe Mickey Roukes revised deal didn't help maybe something had to give? Plus alot of companies have down sized their investment even on block busters.
