I was working on my TVcrazy.net site today, and found out something about Mister Freeze from Batman the Animated Series and the Batman Mister Freeze Movie. I always thought Freeze sounded so familiar, but I couldn't quite place him. Turns out if you happen to be a TV junkie especially an old TV re-run junkie like me, you'd recognize him too. Freeze was voiced by Michael Ansara. I don't actually recognize the name really just the face and the voice. The first thing I can say I really noticed him from was as Marshall Sam Buckhart from a couple of appearances on the Rifleman.

He was a Native American Marshall with long hair. A real neat hero for the early 1960's late 1950's. He took the character from there to his own series Law of The Plainsman.

But for classic TV connections it doesn't stop there. He went on to guest star on I Dream of Jeannie and married Barbara Eden. Star Trek fans might also recognize him as Kang the Klingon from  three different Star Trek TV series - the original series (Day of the Dove), Deep Space Nine (Blood Oath) and Voyager (Flashback).

Don't forget an appearance on Babylon 5 and the Outer Limits episode, "The Soldier".

And about this time every year you can see him as a taskmaster in the epic The Ten Commandments.
