I think it's always a good idea to work out some ground rules for powers be they real or not. Lord knows I've got some explaining to do in Big Blue. Hopefully they'll be plausable if not exact.

Well don't be tied to scientific laws to much. After all science can't explain everything.

I'm quite happy to bend a few natural rules of nature if it helps tell a story. But even magic and supernatural forces have laws they adhere to. Otherwise there would never be genies in bottles.

I used to think you know it's always better if things are as scientifically accurate as possible, but then I remembered all those Twilight Zone episodes I love where people just walk over a hill top and wind up in another time, or walk outside a door and end up in the day of Lincoln's assassination. I guess if it's handled in a serious intelligent manner you can get away with anything sci-fi ways. Genie stories always bring me back to I Dream of Jeannie.
