I was just wondering how many comic book fans are into fitness, weight lifting etc. I know with me Lou Ferrigno inspired me as a kid and was probably a big part in sending me on my way to weight lifting later as a teen.

Of course Sylvester Stallone Rocky movies really helped get me going to. I guess if I had to pick a superhero I most had the chance of looking like it would have to be Wolverine. It's a goal.

So do other comic fans have the desire to actually look like superhero... fitness wise that is? I'm not about to wear a spandex suit. Unless it's for a movie.

I think I'm more along the lines of the Blob

While I'm on the subject here's Hugh Jackman's workout.

Wayne gee whiz don't be so hard on yourself.

I feel like a blob myself to tell you the truth. I'm constantly trying to lose that last bit around my stomach , but it refuses to go away. Being an adult really stinks. I have to eat healthy all the time now just to keep from gaining. Lately I've been eating carrots, apples, bananas, and even the dreaded spinach. I may, just may, have noticed a slight increase in strength since I've started eating the spinach. Till this month I don't think I've ever touched the stuff before.

Lou Ferrigno Talks about Training

Lou Ferrigno Tribute

When I was 16 I was really into Marvel comics, and I wanted to start buffing up like my hero, Captain America. I used to be skinnier and not that strong. He had a lot to do with me getting into weightlifting. Possessing the build of Captain America was my goal back then, and it still is to this day.

I bet all those Charles Atlas ads helped as well

Say if anybody knows where on the net Lou's workout routine is posted, post a link or something. I can't find it.

It looks like from the video he uses moderate weight maybe with a lot of strict reps, but I know most of the time body builders go with 6-10 reps of heavy weight.

I've taken 3 years of weight training + my 13yr experience as a martial artist.

If you want a weekly plan, i can whip one up in no time.

if anyone want, send me an e-mail* of a basic week giving me time you have off to work out for each day and I'll give you an idea for plan.

Stallone could take 2 fingers around your neck and squeeze it and your head will leterally pop off.

I want to learn how to do that.

Stallone thing?
If it is, you would half to have over 20years of work-out.
From Stallones first Rocky, to the Rambo 4, if you've seen all of them, you'd know what I mean.

I can understand guys wanting to get all muscly and whatnot, but for me...
I dunno, girls can really go overboard on the whole 'muscled out' look.
I don't favor to it.
Slim and short is how I've always been, I've never really been able to get ripped~
(did I use that right? ripped?).

Well slim is good when you get older mainly because keeping skinny is really hard. I'd rather be skinny than obese.

I'm wanting to look like a cross between Stallone and Bruce Lee. Or maybe look like Stallone and fight like Bruce Lee. I could dig running up walls like Jackie Chan too.
