one of the biggest crimes of all time that it didn't get a best picture nomination.  it was second highest earning behind a best picture winner, the titanic.  that's garbage.  we now know that for whatever reason, the academy has a grudge against superheroes, and does not truly respect them.  a superhero movie never has a chance at wining best picture.  now we know.  it was replaced by the reader.  i know, the reader?  what?  not even critics really noticed that film.  critics loved the dark knight.the academy gets three
and what is with their love affair with benjamin button?  i liked that movie but it was far from excelent.  read more about my oscar anger at greenhatreviews.com

Well Hollywood types are a little snooty, but at least Dark Knight got 8 other nominations.

benjamin button sounds interesting. How is the pacing on that one?

i think it only got six other noms dude.
the BB pacing is alright throughout the first two 'acts' if you eill.  however, i thought the third act was slower, more conventional, and ultimately detracted from the movie.  all in all there are some unecessary subplots and such, but if you're in the mood to see a three hour movie, you'll probably enjoy it.
you can read my
in depth review here
you'll notice at the bottom of my review that I accurately predicted Taraji Henson's academy nom.

Sounds like a long movie. 3 hours?

Dark Knight, 3 hours?
All I came for is the Joker and Batman kickin' each others Asses!
But the was another one out there, they had to end the movie with Two-face in it, quite appealing, yet you get tired after it.
