Marvel Comics' Secret Invasion #1 was the best-selling comic book title for 2008 based on total unit sales to comic book specialty shops, according to Diamond Comic Distributors.

All eight issues of Secret Invasion placed in the top 10 comics of 2008, and were joined by Uncanny X-Men #500 and DC Comics' Final Crisis #1.

Marvel Comics closed out 2008 as the top publisher, leading both Retail Dollar and Unit Market Shares, with a 46 percent Unit Market Share and a 41 percent Retail Dollar Market Share. DC Comics was second with 32 percent Unit Market Share, and a 30 percent Retail Dollar Market Share.

2008's top-selling graphic novel was DC Comics' Watchmen TP, which enjoyed renewed success in the wake of the upcoming feature film in 2009. DC Comics took seven of the top 10 graphic novel sales spots.

wow, i bought all 8 of the top 10.  surprised to x-men 500 on there, i got it because of the sweet ross' cover, and i bet a lot of people bought the sweet turner variant.
final crisis probably suffered because I, like many, were completely lost, (and have remained lost) with the overall plot.  it's not accesible to people who have ready every single issue of the last 20 years of DC comics.  i'm kind of surprised batman r.i.p. wasn't on there, but it (also written by final crisis writer morrison) suffers exactly what FC does.  i bet it also hurts that FC still hasn't ended.  secret invasion just owned.  i'd be interested in seeing the top 100.
and sorry i haven't been on site recently.  i've been building my movie site and i bought a marvel digital comics subscription.  i was skeptical at first but their selection is amazing.  i've already devoured about 47 issues, 46 of which are ultimate titles.

What's your movie site address?

Yeah I have every copy of Secret Invasion as well. I didn't even get any of the others on that list. I mostly stick with Captain America, the new Captain Britain, and the new Hulk series.

I can't really afford everything on my favorite list. I mean I could, but it just seems like comics are so expensive plus I love to get older ones as much as possible to add to my old comics collection. I recently got a bunch of old Superman books. I've almost got a complete run from the 70's right up to when John Byrne took over.

I know the feeling, if I bought everything I wanted I'd be broke and then I'd have a very upset wife on my hands

I get the standard remarks about how I've got a whole room full of comics isn't that enough. Of course she has a whole closet full of shoes. I can understand collecting comics, but shoes!

My wife's thing was purses. I mean come on how much stuff do you possibly carry with you that requires more than one purse?

Luckily during preperation for the move over here she got rid of a bunch of them and so now she only has a few!

My wife likes to change purses out here and there for whatever reasoning. I'm like just use the same one till it falls apart.

ha! you guys sound like bickering children!  single's the only way to fly!
and my site is not published yet, still building ii.  I'll probably finish it in about two weeks.
problem is getting a catchy domain.
could be bigkahunamovies.com, andrewsreviews.com, and a number of other random things.  come up with anything original that incorporates andrew and movies that rpobably isn't taken, let me know.

Single life is too unpredictable. At least when your married you have something to complain about.

Go to godaddy.com and search for a domain. It will tell you if it's taken and give you some domain names that are available that fit your search.
