I like Morbius. He's a good villain. But I think The Lizard deserves a place in the Spidey franchise first. I don't even know that if that if they did one, that they would bother with the other, since The Lizard and Morbius have similar stories: They were both good men turned into monsters, who resent what they've become.

I was just looking at one of my old comics the other day early 100's Spider-man from way early 70's it had Morbius and the Lizard.

I think I remember one like that. I think Lizard was there when Morbius first showed up in the early 70s. So maybe they could put them both together in the same movie.

It's this issue right here, spider-man 102 http://milehighcomics.com/cgi-bin/backissue.cgi?action=fullsize&issue=77906321824%20102

I bought it from milehighcomics about a year ago. I think it was on sale then though.

I don't have the real comic, but I bought the Spider-Man digital comics collection about a year ago. Morbius's first apperance was in the issue right before that one.

One of the things I like least about the Spidey franchise is the Gwen Stacy situation. I wish they would have done that right. And her father too.

Yeah, they tend to mix the stories up a lot in the movies. I wonder what it would have been like if they did the whole Green Goblin death of Gwen Stacey story line?

Well just read this article http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/access-hollywood-spider-man-4.html

It says
Quote:
Black hinted at the film's villain, shooting down online rumors that pegged comic book character Morbius the Living Vampire as the latest member of Spidey's rogue gallery.

Instead, the producer told the Post that the villain had a significant connection to the Big Apple.

"We're just coming up with who the villain is now," he said. "We'll be shooting in New York again. Trust me, people will appreciate who we pick, because it'll be a big part of New York."

Quote:
Another potential foe could be New York crime boss the Kingpin - however, the character appeared in 20th Century Fox's "Daredevil" and would likely require a rights acquisition by Sony Pictures.

But the crime lord would give the film a New York connection

Which makes me wonder do they go the comics route and get a white fat guy to play the Kingpin or get the one from Daredevil if they did choose the Kingpin. I still like Morbius better though. The Kingpin tells other villains to go and attack. He's not the one to look to for a huge fight scene. They might want to be more crime oriented to copy the Dark Knight. Copying another movie is not necessarily a good idea though.

The same article mentioned other possible villians, Chameleon, Carnage, Mysterio, Kraven, and Hobgoblin.

Kingpin's a good villain, but I don't want him for this movie. Nor the Chameleon, unless he can be added in as a hired gun or as a side-story. We already had a goblin, and Carnage is too much like Venom. The Lizard and Kraven both seem like good choices.

I vote for Stiltman!!!! Seriously though they kind of screwed the pooch with Venom so I'd hate to see what they would do with Carnage. Daredevil as an antagonist would be something! But without the Affleck connection I think they will actually use a Kingpin though.

There's so much that needs to be done with Spider-Man. What Spidey needs is a live action tv series like what Superman's got.

Yeah, that would be nice.
