The time loop storyline I've seen done recently on Eureka on the sci-fi channel. That's one of the few series the sci-fi channel has done really well. They also did that on a recent Supernatural episode.

Time loops are good for laughs seeing the character run into the same events over and over again. I'm not sure how well it would work in a comic book story as it does for TV though. I guess it all depends on the story.

As far as getting a character into the past, you could use the Twilight Zone method where all a character has to do is walk over a hill, step outside the door, or something similar to go back in time. You could always back track and give it a more scientific reason later. Make it a mystery.

I got the time loop idea from that episode of Supernatural where Dean dies every single day.

Thanks for the idea. I think I was jsut being too technical about it.

That was an hilarious episode.

Yes, it was. That part where Dean chocked on the sausage is unforgettable. Every now and then they put out a funny episode. The one they made last year with the same antagonist was pretty fun too.

Rembember when Dean I think it was said, "I'm Batman?"

He had some kind of good luck charm or something that made everything he did work until the person lost it and then they died.

Vaguely, but no, I don't think I remember.

I remember the episode where Sam and Dean were trying to explain two different sides of a story to Bobby, that episode was hilarious.

yeah, I remember that one. Dean was making fun of Sam acting like a big girl.

And according to Dean, he was a real suave guy, while Sam was like a girly man.

The real funny part was when Sam was explaining the part where he and Dean walked into this house and Dean started eating these chocolates (I think that's what they were I can't recall) in a bowl. It showed Dean talking, and he continued to stuff his face. Then  Dean interrupted Sam's story and said, "I only ate two or three!"

Oh yeah, I wish I could catch that one again on a rerun. I'm going to have to start watching the reruns. I usually wait for the new ones, but those funny episodes are worth watching over and over.

Yep, they sure are. Supernatural should be starting up again soon.

So...how do you think they'll bring Dean back?
Posted:  26 Aug 2008 14:21
I don't know, I forgot about that. He was in a really bad place.

I bet their dad will come back and figure out a way. Let's see did their dad escape you know where, or did he go back down again? I remember when the door was opened in that cemetery they saw their dad for just a bit. Can't remember where he went after that.

I think he's in Heaven. Because I think they would be in a lot more despair if he was in hell.

He was in the bad place for a while I know. He had made some sort of deal to save one of the boys I think. I guess we'll see on the season premiere because if he's down there he'll try and save Dean.

I think Sam will end up being the one who gets him out. He may seek help from someone though.

Let's see how long do we have to wait, about a month, you reckon?
Posted:  28 Aug 2008 22:40
It should start back late September, I would guess. It usually starts the same time Smallville does.
