*After Raiden defeated Carnage to save Johnny Cage, he finished his journey of warning to Earth's heroes by traveling to Arctika in search of Captain America. When he appeared to Cap and Jax, Cap pulled out his shield in preparation for battle.
-Raiden: "No need for violence my friend. I come in peace."
-Captain America: "Oh. Good. Finally Ive met someone that doesn't wish to kill me. My name is Captain America."
-Raiden: "I know. Ive come here looking for you Steve Rogers. Im already acquainted with Jax. (Turns to Jax)Hello my friend."
-Jax: "Sup Raiden?"
-Raiden: "Im here to bring you two back to the main lands and ask your assistance in defeating Shao Kahn's new army of warriors and villains."
-Captain America: "Shao Kahn?"
-Raiden: "Yes. He is the Emperor of Outworld. He has come to Earthrealm to take over everything you have to offer. I have a small army of fighters to help defeat him and we also have the support of your allies, the Avengers. Sub-Zero, the man you recently fought, was a member of Kahn's Army. He was a very important member. You can expect Kahn to come after you and your friends for Sub-Zero's loss."
-Captain America: "If Tony believes we should help you then I will trust his judgement. Lets return to the Avengers Mansion so I may speak with our allies."
-Raiden: "Well said."
(In a flash of light Raiden, Jax, and Cap disappear from Arctika and reappear in New York.)
*While taking a break from the pressure the Avengers are experiencing, Spider-Man took a spin around the city. As he sat at the top of the Baxter Building he heard a voice.-
-Scorpion: (echo)"Get over here!"
-Spider-Man: "Huh? Why are my Spider-sense going off?"
*Spidey looked around and seen no threat. Just then a spear ripped through his shoulder. The spear opened its point into a star and Spidey fell to the ground holding his shoulder. Scorpion then shot Spidey threw a fiery gateway and into his layer. As the spear sucked back into Scorpion hand he shouted to get the injured Spider-Man's attention.
-Scorpion: "Welcome!"
-Spider-Man: "Argh! What do you want?"
*Scorpion answered only with a kick to Spidey's head. As he went for another kick Spidey shot a web to the nearest wall and swung towards it. With a hole in his shoulder Spidey knew this yellow ninja must be part of Shao Kahn's Army. Spidey was bleeding from his wound as he watched Scorpion from the ceiling.
-Scorpion "Get down here!"
Scorpion once again shot his spear at Spidey. This time Spidey dodged the spear and swung down at Scorpion. Scorpion ducked Spidey's attack and turned to face him. Spidey and Scorpion looked at each other knowing that the other was not a normal opponent. "What in the world are you?"asked Spiderman."You're worst nightmare."Scorpion said.Then Spiderman hit scorpion and sent him flying.Suddenly, Scorpion said"Get over here!" as he was flying threw the air."AHHHHHH"Spiderman yelled as he flew through the air with a bad shoulder.When they came to the ground Spiderman drop kicked Scorpion into the lava."NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"Scorpion yelled as he fell to his doom.
