Is this Joker too much? This Joker poster featuring Heath Ledger as the Joker is
for sale at art.com
at least at the time of this posting. Is this too grotesque for a Batman movie? Too violent? What do you guys think? I wonder if this could end up being a big collector's item?

Ok...every time I see Heath Ledger as the Joker I get the creeps. Partly because of his death, but also because he just looks disturbing. I know Batman is meant to be a dark character, but from what I've seen I think they've gone a little too dark with this movie. This poster looks way too violent for a superhero movie. If this gives any indication of what the movie will be like, I'm not sure I want to see it. I think they really should have considered how many childern will go to see this movie and how many parents may keep their children away from this movie because it is so violent.

Batman wasn't intentioned to be a dark superhero at first but as time passed, it became more obvious that it would do better with draker history, the origin of Bruce, the costume itself, his archenemy are all of dark nature.

While i agree that it is too dark for some kids, I don't believe it should be changed.

joker is evil!  we all seem to want to think he's just a goofball but come on! bad guys do bad things so this is going to be a sweet take on the joker in my opinion.  ledger was commited to say the least.

best i think is the one where joker is turning away from you with the knife and playing card, it's classic and awesome at the same time.

These have to be the creepiest and darkest superhero posters ever made. More like a horror movie poster than a superhero poster. And they are really a lot more intense and scary than the movie was for me at least. There were a couple of scenes that made me cringe just because I thought they were going to end up bloody. Probably got that idea from these posters.

I mean, Marvel got a little creepy after Ghost Rider, Marvel never stuck with the comics much...but D.C.? Superman, so dumb, yet so entertaining and good, but Batman? Let's get with the progam D.C.!
Little intense for a PG-13 movie? Come on.
