Robert Downey Jr. was I think the best possible choice for the role of Tony Stark. I'm so glad they gave Stark's character a sense of humor too. It made the whole Iron Man movie run smooth especially in the areas of transition from one action scene to the next.

This has got to be one of the best done superhero films I've seen in a long time. Sure I love just about every superhero film, but really this was top notch quality. Iron Man was unique in almost every way as compared to superhero films in general.

Loved the action scenes especially when Iron Man saved the townsfolk of a middle east town from the grip of terrorists. That scene really did it for me. I only wish that scene had lasted longer.

And before the picture they showed a Hulk movie trailer that really has me excited about it. You just can't appreciate this new Hulk watching a miniature version on a computer screen. In a theater setting the Hulk really comes across as a force of nature. This Hulk just seems like the Hulk I grew up with. Like a real cross between the 70's Hulk comic and TV show. He's even got a little longer hair in contrast to the look he had on the last movie.

From yahoo news -
Comic book adventure "Iron Man" proved its mettle at the North America box office, kicking off the summer movie season with estimated weekend ticket sales of $100.75 million and marking an unlikely commercial rebound for its star, Robert Downey Jr.

The tally far exceeded expectations of an opening in the $70 million to $80 million range for the three-day period beginning Friday. All told, the movie grossed $104.25 million, counting receipts from Thursday evening previews, according to studio figures issued on Sunday.

"Iron Man's" U.S.-Canadian haul fell just shy of the $114.8 million grossed by "Spider-Man" in the first weekend of May 2002 -- a tally that stands as the biggest domestic opening ever for a non-sequel film.

I just read Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury appears at the end of the credits. Unfortunately I didn't stay for the end of the credits. Some viewers have reported though that they did not see the Nick Fury scene at the end of the credits. A lot of fans are completely surprised and excited about the scene as it reportedly foreshadows the Avengers movie that now looks to arrive in theaters summer 2011 right after Captain America.

I didn't see the Nick Fury part after the credits, if I would've read this first I would have stayed to find out. Anyways I have to concur with your review, Robert Downey Jr. was perfect as Tony Stark.

The movie was incredible and the best superhero movie I've seen. It was neat how they incorperated Jim Rhodes into the story.

I give it an excellant rating, two thumbs up

Ultimate Fury was made just Sam Jackson. Makes me wonder though if we'll ever see the regular Nick Fury in a movie besides that cheap movie Hasselhoff made.
