Some sad news to report. Heath Ledger actor we've been talking about so long now for playing Joker in the upcoming Dark Knight movie was found dead at only 28 years old.

What are they going to do about The Dark Knight movie?

I'm not 100 percent sure, but I'm almost 90 percent sure it's finished. Fox news didn't say anything about the movie running into any issues because of Ledger's untimely death.

yahoo.com said he finished it.
this sucks so bad though.  he was great in aknight's tale.  that's one of my all time favorite movies.  he had an awesome career ahead of him.
if they didn't kill joker in the movie i hope they don't bring him in later with a different actor.  i hate it when tehy do that.

It's so sad for someone so young to die like that. You just never know.

Found this on yahoo news
Quote:
Ledger said in an interview in November that "Dark Knight" and last year's "I'm Not There," took a heavy toll. He said he "stressed out a little too much" during the Dylan film, and had trouble sleeping while portraying the Joker, whom he called a "psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy."

"Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night," Ledger told The New York Times. "I couldn't stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going." He said he took two Ambien pills, which only worked for an hour.

The latest

Jack Nicholson — who, like Ledger in The Dark Knight, once played the maniacal and dark Joker on the big screen — raised eyebrows on Wednesday by telling reporters in London, "Well, I warned him," when asked about Ledger's death. Though Nicholson did not elaborate, he could have been alluding to the intensity that comes with playing "a psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy," as Ledger recently characterized the role. Working off two hours of sleep a night, Ledger had said, "I couldn't stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going."

He may have overdosed on sleeping pills just trying to get some rest? He was a good actor and I will miss seeing him in movies. Can't wait to see him in Dark Knight

The Latest - Cops Grill Mary Kate Olsen on Ledger Case
Quote:
Cops are planning to grill Mary-Kate Olsen about frantic phone calls she received from the masseuse who found Heath Ledger dead in his bed, The New York Post reported.

Quote:
n all, police said Wolozin made three brief calls to Olsen between 3:17 p.m. and 3:24 p.m. She called 911 at 3:26 p.m.

Wolozin phoned Olsen again at 3:34 p.m., a minute after paramedics arrived. Olsen's security guards arrived at about the same time.

It was unclear why Wolozin called the actress before dialing 911, why Olsen didn't advise Wolozin to make the call for help or why Solomon didn't place the 911 call before the calls went out to Olsen.

Law-enforcement sources told the Post they did not think there was anything suspicious about either Wolozin's or Olsen's conduct.

"We have no problem with her calling [Olsen before 911]," one source said.

"This happens with everyday people, they call relatives [during emergencies] before they call 911 all the time.

"Maybe [Wolozin] panicked, because he's a celebrity. She was afraid."

Those sources also pointed out that there was not a big gap in time before Wolozin found Ledger and when she called 911.

Thought this was interesting. He actually kept a Joker diary.

Also here was his Joker diary, which he began compiling four months before filming began -- a collection of images and thoughts helpful to the Joker back story.
