Progress report Alvin and the Chipmunks is at number 11 for the week still hanging in there at the box office after 7 weeks. It's total now is at $204,159,000 in the U.S. Compare that to Garfield for instance that only made a little above 75 million as according to imdb.com. It's making even more than the first Scooby Doo which made $153,288,182 in the U.S. shop for cartoon merchandise
