anyone read this ish? it's by my man bendis, and alex maleev who worked together on DD for a long time. I wasn't big on maleev's shadow work in DD but his Halo detail is awesome! it's art equal to the spectacular environments of the games and a story that makes you feel like you're there, this book was amazing and highly impressive with a spectacular cover. plus, this four part story arc bridges the gap between halo 2 and the soon to be released halo 3. i was pumped for the next installment of this mini series when i found out it wasn't due to come out until 10/17...with part 3 in december. what gives?!? anyway, it sold out a lot of places and they're already making a second print. so trust me on this one and risk 3 (or maybe 4) bucks and reserve the next installment at your local comicshop. seriously, the cover alone is reason enough to buy the issue. i've had mine propped up in my bedroom for like a month now and it still looks awesome! the panels will make you stare! make you stare! and of course bendis brings his A-game and like I said-puts you right in the story like only the games can do! plus he gives us a fair share of master chief shooting things up. and I'm saying this as a guy who's never even beaten the games!
