So did you guess correctly? I was rooting for Spider-man but I was surprised that Shrek still came on strong. I was kind of surprised Harry Potter still had so much steam.

1 Spider-Man 3 Sony $336,530,303
2 Shrek the Third $321,012,359
3 Transformers $310,578,372
4 Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End $308,681,208
5 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix WB $286,825,495

i'm surprised transformers beat pirates.
i just saw shoot em' up which rocked, but it's definitely rated R for a reason (sexual content, language, and violece mostly)
relaly fun far fetched action though, and good rock music to go with it.

I didn't even go see Shrek, I'm waiting for the DVD. I think a lot of parents of little kids took to see the movie on impulse. Like, "Oh it's Shrek, we must take the kids" Something like that. Like mass hypnosis or something.

i heard this one was really watered down for kids too.  that's too bad, the other 2 rocked.

Where is Rise of the Silver Surfer. I'm suprised it isn't on the list. It was awesome.

It made somewhere in the 130-140 million dollar range. I was also surprised it didn't make more money. I loved it.

These were my favorite movies this summer.

1. Spider-man
2. FF2
3. Transformers
4. Die Hard
5. Pirates

I haven't seen Die Hard yet. But since it is PG-13 and they toned it down. Is it still good?

I liked it. I'm mainly into action movies for the action. I'm not too crazy about blood and guts, and excessive swearing, and this movie had some pretty cool scenes involving a big rig, and a jet fighter. Plus Bruce Willis was good as usual. It went along at a pretty good pace too I thought.
