The crew and passengers of the S.S. Minnow unknowingly face the wraith of the Prince Atlantis. Barely 18 months after exiting from his amnesic state, Namor still harbors great hatred for the human race. The S.S. Minnow unwittingly crossed an invisible boundary in the Pacific and he then laid waste to their hull during the midst of a furious sea-storm. Time passed yet their transgression was so great in the mind of the Atlantian that he (or representatives) kept surveillance on the island for many years, secretly foiling any attempt by sea of rescuing the castaways. In the summer of 1978, Namor finally relents his nearly 15 year personal grudge and leaves the island inhabitants to their own fate. In short time they are rescued from their Pacific isle prison.
