My favorites are Power Man, and Black Lightning. I just watched a episode of the Superhero Squad and it had small cameo of Luke Cage in his old Power Man costume. I thought that was cool.

I often wondered why he wore the steel head band. Maybe thats why he's always saying Sweet Christmas.

The only other character I know of who got a metal ring on his noggin is Monkey, And Buddah put that on his head to punishing him everytime he did something wrong by making it tighter.

Power Man is Luke Cage. He used to be part of the duo Power Man and Iron Fist back in the 80's. They were two heroes for hire.

Mister Miracle aka Shilo Norman in DC's The Seven Soldiers of Victory series (Grant Morrison) is black. Power Man's the man and is Luke Cage.Power Man and Iron Fist are classic late 70's early 80's 'Heroes for Hire' in New York City.As for the Patriot I got the Aniversary Capt America returns issue, saw him but did spot his name but in it he's refered to as the black Captain America so that's why.

Mike and Wayne, you are both right-ish. That is Patriot he is a member of the Young Avengers. Patriot's grandfather was the first soldier to successfully take the super soldier serum and briefly became Captain America, but ultimately was just a test subject with the american government opting for a white cap( Steve Rogers) instead. Tim, whats the mini series that explains the origin of the black captain america?

I remember hearing about the black Cap on the Captain America messageboard, but I don't remember ever reading the series he was in. http://www.captain-america.us/messageboard/
